Field trial in GITAM School of Technology, Hyderabad

On 31st August 2013 IIIT-H Virtual Labs members and VLEAD team conducted a field trial in GITAM School of Technology, Hyderabad Campus.

Dr. Jayanthi Sivaswamy, the Principal Institute Co-ordinator (PIC) of IIIT-H and Dr. Suresh Purini the Discipline-wise National coordinator (DNC) of CSE labs of IIIT-H, conducted the field trial with tech support from VLEAD team.

A total of nearly 120 B.Tech students of CSE stream took part in this field trial.

Dr. Jayanthi Sivaswamy gave an overview of Virtual Labs project. She spoke about the project’s inception, objective, usage, relevance and significance in today’s technologically advanced world.

Dr. Suresh Purini demonstrated Data Structures Lab experiments to the students. He discussed Sorting of Arrays, Search Trees and Graph Traversals experiments. The students tried them all and checked the simulations of the lab. The graphical picturisation and quizzes helped them in understanding the experiments.

The students have been requested for an online feedback of the lab. The collected feedback will be used for compiling various statistics of the lab. It will also be used for considering any future enhancements of the experiments.
